Discussion Groups and Special Initiatives are used to identify key issues for broad-based development in Arkansas and to generate Special Initiatives to clarify challenges and craft solutions. The concept of a Discussion Group is to bring those individuals together, both inside and outside of the University of Arkansas, who have a particular interest in an issue of importance to Arkansas. The Discussion Group then identifies one or more Special Initiatives that a subset of the Discussion Group addresses.
