Overview

The Crossroads Coalition Board of Directors and Pillar Groups worked together in a number of settings to prepare a Legislative Agenda for the 2007 Session of the Arkansas General Assembly. A special session was held for Crossroads members of the General Assembly immediately before the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Crossroads Coalition held on Nov. 13, 2006 where the Agenda was reviewed and printed copies were distributed. In the spring of 2007, the Crossroads Coalition partnered with the Cornerstone Coalition and the Golden Triangle, who both have counties in the Arkansas Delta, in hosting a reception in Little Rock for members of the Legislature. Furthermore, the Crossroads sponsored a workshop at the Technology Center for the Delta where the Arkansas Chamber of Commerce discussed the best practices for working with members of the Legislature about legislation of particular interest. This initiative to prepare a Legislative Agenda has been considered a great success and will be repeated when the Legislature meets again in 2008.
